Why AFICS-T ?
All your life you loved your spouse and children who provided you with a warm family life throughout your UN career. But now your children have grown up and may be living independently. Despite your long UN career, you might not give your spouse detailed in-depth instructions on how to deal with your UN Pension, Health Insurance and Life Insurance when you pass away, which is inevitable. So, who will assist your spouse and children in reporting your death to the UN Pension Fund and establishing spouse’s new bank account to receive the widow/widower pension benefit that he/she qualifies. Do they know how to secure your UN Life Insurance benefit and what portion goes to spouse and each of your children? Is your spouse fully familiar with the detailed steps it takes to obtain the benefits of the UN Health Insurance over the remainder of his/her long life when old age imposes the need for endless medical care?

Sadly your only close UN friend, who knew your spouse well, passed away a few years ago and now there is no friend from the UN to come and assist your spouse and children. As we all know, when we get old, your FRIENDS are much more important than the money you have saved.

In the past some of our colleagues, who were single and suffering from illness, were bed-ridden. Under circumstances, who will take care of them?

To alleviate  the above inevitable situation, who can help us if we don’t have UN FRIENDS? Go to see the Association of Former International Civil Servants – Thailand (AFICS-T). Join AFICS-T now, before it is too late, which will take care of your loved ones when you pass away.
